Stuccco is a US-based company that virtually stages photos of properties located in cities throughout the United States of America, many of which are located in Santa Clara County, such as:
Yes. Because Stuccco provides you with full copyright ownership of your virtually staged images, all virtual staging services are compliant with the terms of use for all San Jose MLSs.
These are the two primary San Jose MLSs:
Santa Clara County Association of Realtors MLS (SCCAOR)
Be sure to look into the terms of use or rules and regulations for your MLS for complete details. Most MLSs have rules about the copyright ownership of all photos that you post on the MLS, and some have guidelines about using virtual staging.
For instance, the rules of the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors states:
“By submitting photographs to the MLS, the participant and/or subscriber represents and warrants that it either owns the right to reproduce and display these photographs or has procured such rights from the appropriate party, and has the authority to grant and hereby grants the MLS and the other participants and subscribers the right to reproduce and display the photographs in accordance with these rules and regulations.”
Although there are no clauses specifically discussing virtual staging, you should still be sure to use it ethically. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you upload the original photo as well as a virtual staging photo in addition to disclosing the use of virtual staging.
This will keep you compliant with any MLS. Just as importantly, it will also prevent potential home buyers from feeling misled or confused. Read our guide for more details about how to use virtual staging correctly.
Stuccco (with three C’s!) is a company that employs professional designers to use virtual staging software to stage listing photos and maximize their real estate value. Unfortunately, that does not include photography services in San Jose, Silicon Valley, or any other locations. However, you can read our guide for step-by-step instructions on how to take photos for virtual staging.
