Stuccco evolves, becomes online interior design marketplace
In the company’s latest major release, Stuccco gives its users the ability to find, hire and work with designers to create rooms they love - all online.
“In everything we do, we believe in leading with your heart and unapologetically being your true self. The spaces in which we work and live are reflections of that pursuit. If you’re the kind of person who wants to live and work in a space you love, are proud of, and feel comfortable and secure in, then Stuccco is for you,” shares Matt Langan, creator of Stuccco.
“We started Stuccco to help creative home professionals like my dad and brother showcase their work online. Stuccco came from the center of our hearts and I think that’s why it’s resonating with so many others.” Langan adds, “Now over ninety of the country’s best design professionals have applied and have been accepted to list their businesses and post their work on the platform. It’s become an incredible source of design inspiration for home professionals and homeowners alike.”
The company’s latest major release represents a bold move into the sharing and freelance economies. Homeowners are now able to hire and collaborate with designers directly on the platform, a business model similar to Airbnb, Uber and Lyft’s.
Unlike comparable e-design platforms such as Havenly, Laurel & Wolf and Decorist, Stuccco gives designers total creative freedom. “The last thing designers want is to feel boxed in, which is why they can recommend any products and materials, from any company.”
“When you trust designers to suggest what they think is best for the homeowner, magic happens. Quality and variety improve, which creates a win-win for the customer and the designer.”
Since rolling out this new functionality, twenty designers have already made themselves available for hire and are designing rooms for clients across the country. “We started by inviting a few designers to take advantage of this new functionality. Shortly thereafter 15 others applied to do the same - most of whom heard about it from designer friends who were dissatisfied with designing for other e-design platforms that are more freedom-limiting. We’ve struck a chord and it’s resonating. People like freedom.”
Designers who are available for hire have an Hire Designer button on their Stuccco profiles and are listed on the E-Designer page of the Stuccco website. To hire a designer, a homeowner completes a simple checkout process that asks for info like room type, style preference and design requirements. Once the checkout process is complete, the designer can see all of the project’s details and begins collaborating with the client until the design deliverables are provided. Homeowners can execute the design on their own or hire a local professional.
“Working with a designer in person can cost thousands of dollars and is grossly inefficient. E-design streamlines the design process so more homeowners can turn their houses into homes they love. And that’s what it’s all about.”
